The Lodge is a four-building hospitality complex, immersed in the green surroundings of the Golf Club Udine at the Villaverde Hotel & Resort in Fagagna.
The open plan interior features a kitchen and sofa-bed, and is flooded with natural light from the full-height west-facing windows which also offer a panoramic view over the golf course. The interior furnishings are custom made to meet the needs of the space and improve the organisation of the lodge. Open spaces and solid surfaces were favoured for the design of the wardrobe, whose freestanding elements and rounded base make it appear to float off the ground, creating a graceful, almost sculptural presence in the room.
The beds are also completely freestanding, and are fitted with modular structures in order to offer total versatility in managing the space.
The unit separating bathroom and living area is designed and created as a multifunctional island, with handy shelving for each space, and a functional and discreet hideaway kitchenette facing the golf course.
The hotel’s need for flexibility of use is met by the use of materials such as afromosia wood and brushed stainless steel, in a blend of elegance and practicality.
