Designer Giulio Iacchetti entrusted Fabbro Arredi with the production of Fungere, 30 wooden mushrooms in assorted shapes and sizes, created for Udine Design Week 2019. The theme of the mushroom is part of a study that led the artist to put together a group of natural forms outside their usual context, and is part of wider formal research into the concept of pointlessness. The company’s task was to give the designer’s ideas a sculptural shape, using wood as the material.
