The interior design for OMLDUE, a metalworking company in the precision machining sector, developed from the client’s need to update its management and reception spaces in view of growing international business as a result of major investment.
The design was tailored to and integrated with the current forms and spaces, redefining their visual impact and their capacity to communicate through the use of natural materials, coverings, patterns and geometry.
The hospitality spaces and reception feature cladding in oiled black iron, which provides a striking backdrop for the prefabricated concrete staircase. The wood walls provide access to the management offices and their interiors with material continuity. In the meeting room on the upper floor, the design involved cladding the entire wall opposite the large external windows, lit by direct natural light; the focus is on the canaletto walnut cladding on the straight sections of the wall and the vertical slats of the semicircle, which serves to break up the formal continuity.
